Join us at Sofia's Restaurant on the VFW Parkway to celebrate the harvest of West Roxbury!  There is much to celebrate for what is in full bloom in our community and what better way to do it than celebrate with our very own Tom Dougherty serving up the refreshments.  Tom, better known as TD, has been a huge hit in the past with his bartending skills and this time he will have assistance!  We welcome Doug McClure and Steve Morris of ReMaxx Realty to add to the flavor of the night.  The three will be on hand to serve up the best of Oktoberfest in the fabulous bar of Sofia's Restaurant.  A cozy firplace to warm up to, along with some tasty appetizers, will sure help bring in the fall festivities to West Roxbury.

Go Green

We would like to thank all the people who attended our Go Green Series that informed the businesses of West Roxbury ways to save energy and recycle.  We worked with the City of Boston and many energy experts to provide the group with ideas for saving money and saving space!  We had a tremendous turnout that expressed their interest and concern in ways to Go Green.

Pitching In with the Jimmy Fund & WRMS 

On Thursday, September 10^th, 2009 West Roxbury Main Streets in collaboration with the Jimmy Fund Dana-Farber Cancer Institute hosted their second annual “Pitching In” fundraiser @ The House of Blues in the exclusive Foundation room.  The night was a huge such success with the help of hosts, Susan Wornick of WCVB TV Channel 5 and Jim Corsi, former Red Sox alumni.  The two helped raise thousands of dollars that exceeded last year’s efforts.
