Strengthening the district’s economic vitality, physical appearance, and unique local character.
Who We Are
Founded in 2001, West Roxbury Main Streets (WRMS) is a non-profit organization that concentrates on the economic revitalization of the business district. Our goal is to make West Roxbury an even better place to live and do business.
Upcoming WRMS Events
WRMS Annual Meeting (February 28th)
Join us for our annual meeting at West on Centre on Thursday, February 28th at 6:30pm to hear about our priorities in 2019, learn about ways to get involved with our volunteer committees, and meet our board. A free drink and light fare included! Please RSVP.
WRMS embraces a four-prong approach to supporting a healthy, active and vibrant district: enhancing the physical appearance of the district; improving its economic vitality through supporting existing businesses and attracting new ones; marketing the district to attract new and repeat visitors to support local businesses; and promoting community involvement and events among its business and residential member base.

Envisioning our district’s future
Months of preparation and community outreach culminated in a community visioning exercise in June 2016. Over 700 people responded to an online survey and 100 people came out to a half-day workshop to provide input for what they would like to see within the West Roxbury Business District in the coming years. The visioning process identified key priorities for WRMS’s work in the coming years.
There are multiple ways that you can get involved with West Roxbury Main Streets! From becoming a business or resident member to donating or volunteering, we welcome any level of involvement. WRMS has three volunteer committees (Design, Economic Development, and Marketing & Events). Donations are also vital to our programming and are utilized to offer a variety of services to local businesses; including grants for storefront improvements, design assistance and technical support.
